Born On The 4th Of July!!

"Born on the 4th!!- Built for a 4th of July Parade in the early 1980's (flames blew out its nostrils, kiddies!!), as seen in the photo attached. The float was disassembled and then positioned on a ranch road between Eagle Nest and Bobcat Pass by long time area rancher, Johnnie Mutz (RIP), for use as a stream culvert, but still visible from the highway. Many families use it as a landmark of their arrival at, or departure from, the beautiful mountain playground of Red River, New Mexico.
